Love Notes | Boilermaker (Band Appreciation Episode)

December 31, 2017 by Louis T. Hunter

The first time I heard Terrin Durfey's vocals, I knew Boilermaker was something special. Between Durfey's groove filled bass lines, Sanderson's immensely creative guitar playing, and Semple's perfectly suited drumming, this band is severely under-appreciated. If you dig 90's emo, and somehow missed these guys, now's a great time to climb aboard.

Please enjoy the episode, and remember-

Never, ever... stop rockin'.

Love Notes | Gauge (Band Appreciation Episode)

November 28, 2017 by Louis T. Hunter

As one of my absolute favorite bands, Gauge is also severely under-appreciated. Despite their relatively short lifespan ('91-'95, with a couple reunion shows years later), their influence can be felt throughout the Midwestern post-hardcore/indie/emo scene, and I can think of no better band to kick off my new show, Love Notes.

Please enjoy the episode, and remember-

Never, ever... stop rockin'.
